Two Recommended Time and Task Management Tools

Two Recommended Time and Task Management Tools

I like to do home projects on weekends. I know that the success or failure of the project is dependent on choosing the correct tool to get the job done. The perfect tool helps me get the job done perfectly. A poor tool does the opposite. What I share below are tools that I have found, through trial and error, work for clients who experience executive function challenges. There is a tool for those who would benefit from either paper or digital approaches. So, what goes into an effective tool for task and time management? I look for ones that integrate a task list and calendar, enabling the user to plan for and see what tasks they want to complete and when. The tool must also be portable and easy to access when you need to write down a task or calendar event.

Paper-based: Planner Pad

For those of you who prefer paper, I recommend the Planner Pad. It provides you with a week’s view of tasks and events. It also comes in different-sized formats to complement the amount of stuff you have to manage. In addition, Planner Pad has a short video that will give you an overview of their funnel system of organizing tasks and events. Develop the habit of keeping your Planner Pad with you and ready to record your tasks.

Digital-based: Google Calendar and Tasks

I recommend using Google’s Calendar and Tasks integration for those who prefer digital-only task management. First, install both apps on your cell phone, tablet, and computer. Tasks and Calendar are integrated on desktop and mobile devices enabling the user to create a time and task management dashboard. Here is a recommended video from Simpletivity on how to take advantage of Google’s Calendar and Task integration
