Dr. Clarence Perkins

Hello, I'm Dr. Clarence Perkins, an Executive Function and ADHD Life Coach. I assume that if you are reading my website, you or someone you know is struggling with productivity, organization, time management, and confidence. Whether you are a student, professional, or parent, I created my practice as a resource for those who live with these challenges.

As a coach, I meet students and professionals looking for answers to the vexing problem of how to gain control of their lives. I believe that anyone can be successful with the right tools, and I've gathered those tools for you. Here's how I can help you achieve your goals:

  • Individuals with Executive Function Disorder or ADHD may not understand why specific skills are challenging for them. I begin by helping you understand why you struggle to control certain aspects of your life. It is also crucial for you to know that this condition isn't your fault, but it is your responsibility to overcome it.

  • Together, we develop strategies customized to your specific productivity challenges, needs, and goals. No two brains are the same, and not all strategies work for everyone. I won't ask you to do things that don't work for you!

  • Most importantly, I will teach you how to turn these strategies into habits that you can apply consistently and independently.

On my Coaching Blog Page, you will find articles that illustrate my approach and views on managing Executive Function Disorders and ADHD.

My approach appeals to and is effective for a range of needs and goals. I currently coach...

  • Middle and High School Students who are not performing to their potential and need support in school and at home.

  • Younger Adults who need a daily structure to develop independence for work, school, or personal life.

  • Adults who are entrepreneurs starting businesses or established professionals who want to feel more productive.

  • College and Graduate Students who feel unproductive and are earning low grades or are on academic probation.

A little about me: I grew up on the East Coast and now live in Los Angeles. I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children, gardening, roller skating, and playing music. I worked in and out of education and at such great schools as Trinity School in New York and Westmark School, a Los Angeles-based school for students with language-based learning differences. I have a Doctorate in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, a Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School, and a BA in French Language and Literature from Assumption College.
